A strategy board game with Scandinavian roots that gained popularity during the Middle Ages, it held a position in society similar to that of chess. The game features various versions that differ in:
- Board sizes: 7, 9, 11, and 13
- Victory conditions: either bringing the king to the edge or corner of the board
- King encirclement criteria: from two or four sides
- The ratio of attacking (black) to defending (white) pieces
You can engage in the game against artificial intelligence, with another player on the same device, or compete online in multiplayer mode. The attacking black pieces make the first move, and then players take turns. All pieces can move vertically or horizontally for any number of spaces.
